
Jojoba originates from Mexico and its neighbouring regions, it is extracted from the seed of the berries of a wild shrub, currently cultivated intensively also in Israele (Negev desert) and Pakistan. Jojoba oil is an ester formed by unsaturated long-chain linear alcohols (C20 and C22 in particular in addition to C24) and pure long-chain linear fatty acids (especially C20, in addition to C22 and C18) also unsaturated. This lipid fraction constitutes of about 50% of it and contains protective and moisturizing properties for delicate skin.
